Your co-payment per month
–

§ 43c SGB XI: people in care levels 2–5 in full inpatient care get a surcharge from the care fund on the co-payment for care-related costs: 15 % in the first 12 months, 30 % after 12, 50 % after 24 and 75 % after 36 months (part months count). It does not apply to board, lodging and investment costs. Since 1 July 2026 the care fund pays the surcharge directly to the home. If you cannot pay, the social welfare office may help (Hilfe zur Pflege). Estimate, not advice.
