This Privacy Policy explains how Trusted Choice Guide ("we", "us") collects and uses information when you visit trustedchoiceguide.net.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message.
- Usage data. We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools that collect anonymous information such as pages visited, browser type and approximate country.
Cookies and affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, the store or affiliate network you visit may place a cookie in your browser. This cookie tells them that you came from our site, so that we can be credited for a purchase. These cookies are controlled by those third parties and are covered by their own privacy policies.
Hosting, language routing and product images
Our site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and to route visitors from German-speaking countries to the German version. Product images are loaded directly from Digistore24 servers, which receive your IP address. We set no cookies. We use system fonts only; no external font service is loaded.
Free checklists, reviews and forms
Our checklists can be downloaded directly without sign-up – we do not ask for your email or any other data. If you subscribed to our newsletter earlier, message us at any time and we will delete your address. For the voluntary supporter pack (“buy us a coffee”) we link to Digistore24 (digistore24.com); no Digistore24 script is loaded on our pages. Only when you click a coffee button does the Digistore24 order page open; the purchase is handled entirely by Digistore24 as the seller under its own privacy policy. We set no cookies – not for statistics, advertising or language choice. If you pick a setting in a tool (e.g. a time zone), only your browser remembers it locally (localStorage); it is never sent to us and you can delete it in your browser settings. Everything you type into our calculators is computed in your browser and not sent to us. If you submit a product review, we process your first name, rating and text (no email). Only your first name, rating and text are published, after we check them. Through the form “Suggestion, bug or complaint?” we process the type of request, your message, the page concerned and – only if you provide it – your email address to review and answer your request; we delete these data once the request is settled. All forms are delivered through Netlify Forms.
We count page views and clicks on external links with GoatCounter (goatcounter.com, EU servers). It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, does not store IP addresses and does not track you across sites; it records e.g. the page, referrer, browser type, screen size and country.
