🔒 Trust & privacy at a glance
In short: Trusted Choice Guide sets no cookies, requires no sign-up and no email address, shows no ad banners and calculates everything you type in your browser. We are funded by labelled affiliate links and voluntary coffee donations via Digistore24.
- No cookies. We set no cookies – not for statistics, not for advertising and not for the language choice. That is why there is no cookie banner on our site.
- No sign-up, no account, no email. All calculators, templates, AI prompts and checklists (PDF) work without registration and without an email address. You can give an email address only voluntarily in the feedback form if you want a reply.
- What you type stays in your browser. Our calculators run directly in your browser. PDF and image tools work without upload. We don't store your inputs and never see them. Only if you choose a setting yourself (e.g. a time zone) does your browser remember it locally – it is never sent to us.
- No ad banners and no ad trackers. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no ad networks, no pop-ups. For visitor statistics we use GoatCounter (EU servers): no cookies, no stored IP addresses, no cross-site tracking.
- Honest: how we make money. Some links are affiliate links and are labelled as advertising. If you buy through them we earn a commission – your price stays the same and the order of our comparisons does not change. Only after the click, on the provider's site, may the provider set its own cookies.
- Buy us a coffee – voluntary. If you want to support us, you can buy us a coffee (from €3). Payment is handled by Digistore24, a well-known German payment and sales platform (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, card). We never see your payment details. As a thank-you you get our checklists collected as a PDF.
How to check it yourself
- Open any page, e.g. the salary calculator.
- Press F12 (developer tools) and open “Application” or “Storage” → “Cookies”: the list for trustedchoiceguide.net is empty.
- In the “Network” tab you can see that typing into a calculator sends no request to any server. Apart from our own domain only the cookieless GoatCounter statistics are loaded (where products are shown, also product images from Digistore24).
Technical details, listed honestly
- Hosting: Netlify. Like every web server, Netlify technically processes your IP address to deliver the page (server logs).
- Product images (on product and comparison pages and in the product picks on the homepage) are loaded from Digistore24 servers, which receive your IP address.
- Local browser storage (not a cookie) is used only for settings you choose yourself: time zone, diff-checker options and the age confirmation on a few coupon pages.
- The feedback form is sent via Netlify Forms; the email field in it is optional.
All details are in our privacy policy, our affiliate disclosure and on the About page.
