Loan calculator: monthly payment & schedule
Enter amount, annual interest rate and term to get your monthly payment, total interest and a year-by-year repayment schedule (annuity loan).
Repayment schedule
🔒 Runs entirely in your browser – nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.
How to use it
- Enter the loan amount and the annual percentage rate from the offer.
- Choose the term in months.
- Compare offers: a lower rate or shorter term reduces the total interest.
Nominal or effective rate?
The nominal rate is the pure interest on the loan. The effective annual rate also includes certain costs and the payment schedule – that's the number to compare offers with. Also check for free special repayments and whether payment-protection insurance is mandatory.
A shorter term raises the monthly payment but cuts total interest considerably.

Frequently asked questions
How is the monthly payment calculated?
With the annuity formula: payment = P × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)^−n), where P is the amount, r the monthly rate and n the number of months.
Is the result exact?
It is a standard annuity calculation. Your lender's figure can differ slightly due to fees, rounding or the date of the first payment.
What does APR mean?
The annual percentage rate includes the interest and usually certain mandatory costs. Use it to compare offers.
