Frequently asked questions
How much Pflegegeld is paid in 2026?
Care grade 2: €347, grade 3: €599, grade 4: €800, grade 5: €990 per month. The amounts were raised by 4.5 % on 1 January 2025 and remain unchanged in 2026.
Can Pflegegeld and a care service be combined?
Yes. If you use e.g. 40 % of the care-service budget, you still get 60 % of the Pflegegeld (Kombinationsleistung, § 38 SGB XI).
What is the Entlastungsbetrag?
€131 per month for all care grades, reimbursed for approved everyday-support services, day care or short-term care. Unused amounts can be carried over within limits.
